LEC Summer 2022 Playoffs: Schedule, Results
Following a hectic Summer split, the LEC Summer 2022 playoffs will pit the region’s best League of Legends teams against each other in order to advance to Worlds 2022.
The playoffs are also the final countdown for Misfits Gaming, who are down to their final chance to win an LEC championship. The team is set to leave the European league after selling its 2023 season slot to Team Heretics.
Misfits will begin the playoffs against G2 Esports in the upper bracket, a thrilling opener against the 9-time LEC champions eager to add to their title count.
Champions of the Spring and Summer of 2021 This time around, the MAD Lions are aiming for their third championship trophy.

What is LEC Summer 2022 Playoffs?
The 2022 LEC Summer playoffs are the second stage of the Summer Split, in which the top six teams who qualified from the regular season compete for the championship title and a spot at Worlds 2022.
Last year, MAD Lions won the LEC Summer 2021 championship and qualified as one of Europe’s representatives at Worlds 2021.
A guide to the LEC Summer Split 2022
The LEC’s Summer Split is the second split of the fourth year of League of Legends European Championship, Europe’s rebranded professional league (LEC). Ten teams will compete in a round-robin group stage using best-of-ones (BO1).

The LEC’s Summer Split begins on June 17th with a classic match between Team Vitality and MAD Lions, two teams that were considered front-runners in the previous split. The split’s first day will conclude with a BO1 between Rogue and Fnatic. A banger game between Rogue and G2 Esports, a rematch of the Spring Final, is also scheduled for Day 2.
